Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Does my pet need to have vaccinations before staying with you?  Yes.  We request a veterinarian’s record of current health including current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations for dogs. For cats we require Rabies, FVRCP, and FeLeuk. For your pet’s protection they should also be current  with regular worming, heartworm, and flea and tick preventatives.

Can you give my pet their meds?  Yes.  We will administer up to three oral medications for no charge per your instructions.  Additional medications, bandaging, or injections incurs a per day special care charge.

What is the Well Pet Guarantee?  It is always our goal to send your pet home happy and healthy after a fun stay. There is, however, an inherent risk a pet parent/owner takes whenever boarding their pet.  The Well Pet Guarantee  gives you a 50% reimbursement of veterinarian costs you might incur for a visit related to your pet’s stay with us for only $1 per day. Preexisting conditions or conditions such as tumors, murmurs, etc. that were not related to the stay are not covered by the well pet guarantee.

What age does my pet need to be to come and play?  We recommend all pets are old enough to have received the complete series of vaccinations including rabies before boarding for their own protection.

Can my unneutered/unspayed pet come play?  Yes. Due to the special care required, there is an additional fee per day for all unneutered males and all unspayed females that are over 6 months of age.

Do my pets have to play with other pets?  No. We believe play time is the best part of your pet’s vacation. Before placing pets in groups, we conduct careful evaluations. Pets are grouped by their size and play style and strictly supervised at all times. Some pets may not be suited for group play.  However, all pets will still have opportunities to explore the play yard and enjoy outdoor play time. Special care charges will be incurred for pet’s requiring individual play.

Can I bring things for my pet to have during their stay?  Yes. We ask that you provide your pet’s food to prevent tummy upset.  You may also bring your pet’s favorite food toppings, treats, bed, blanket, and toys. Label your pet’s belongings.  We provide bowls that are frequently washed and ask that you keep your pet’s special bowls at home.

What time can I drop off?  Your pet can check in for their vacation anytime on the day of their arrival from opening to 30 minutes before closing.  Allow plenty of time to check in your pet’s belongings and go over your instructions.  Payment is taken at check in.

What is the after noon fee?  Our check out time is noon, however, your pet is welcomed to stay and play the rest of the day for just half day daycare charges.

What if I am delayed and cannot pick up by closing time?  Check out is offered up to 15 minutes before closing.  If you have been delayed please give us a call and we are happy to have your pet stay another night for pick up the next day.

What if my pet runs out of food?  If your pet runs out of provided food, we will select a bag of food from our boutique to add to your bill. If they can only eat a special food, we are happy to go get it.  A food run and the cost of the food will be put added.

I just adopted a rescue pet from the shelter.  I’m worried they will feel abandoned.  Is my pet going to be okay?  Absolutely!  Due to the design of our hotel, the frequency of play times, and the many caring faces, we feel confident that pets sense all their needs are being well met and do just fine during their stay. All pets new to a home must have been in the home a minimum of two weeks prior to their stay to assure they have no communicable illness and have all vaccines required.

It’s the first time my pet has ever boarded.  Do you have any recommendations to make it easier?  Yes. We highly recommend bringing your pet for play time in daycare to acclimate to a new environment.  Your pet will become familiar with our facility, our routines, and our staff for a more comfortable time during their extended stay.  A full day of daycare on allows us to evaluate your pet for the best play group and spend more time with them so they can get to know us better.

We are here to help!  If you have any other questions please ask us.
